About me
I'm Zach Howard. I build software, make audio plugins, and tinker with hardware. The examples on this site are working front ends for common client problems, each built in a light, a dark and a creative design.
What I do
- Marketing sites and landing pages
- E-commerce storefronts and checkout flows
- Dashboards, admin panels, and internal tools
- AI and chat interfaces
- Design systems and accessible components
Experience summary
Beyond the examples here, I work in a few areas that overlap with front-end work.
- Web components. I built
<quote-calculator>, an embeddable, zero-dependency TypeScript custom element. It uses Shadow DOM so host-page styles cannot affect it, and it validates lead capture in the browser. - Audio software. I develop audio VST plugins in C++ with JUCE through ZXAudio. PHASE//ZERO is a Windows VST3 phaser.
- Hardware and telemetry. AIUsageMonitor is an open-source desktop display on an ESP32 touchscreen, fed by a local Python service over USB serial.
- Browser tools. I have also published browser-based cryptography utilities and calculators.
Languages and tools used in the projects above: TypeScript, C++, Python, Tailwind CSS, esbuild, and the Web Crypto API.
