This browser can't draw the 3D Shoal, so here it is on paper. Everything else on the page works.
Both cheeks come from one board of black walnut, so the grain on the left runs on into the right.
Oiled, never lacquered. One board per batch; re-oil once a year with the cloth in the box.
The top is milled from one billet of aluminium and anodised the colour of water over sand.
6061 aluminium, 4 mm at its thinnest. Every legend is engraved, so nothing wears off.
Hold a chord and the four voices drift a few cents apart, like fish that never quite swim in step.
Twenty-five light keys with aftertouch. Drift sets how far the voices wander, up to 25 cents.
Four complete voices, two oscillators each, nothing shared.
A ladder filter per voice and two of everything that moves it.
A sequencer and enough sockets to run the rest of the studio.
Four complete analog voices: play chords of up to four notes.
Anodised the green-blue of water over sand at low tide. The colour is in the metal, not on it.
Includes the walnut cheeks, a USB-C cable, a printed manual and two years of repairs at the workshop. A €100 deposit holds your place in Batch 03 and comes back in full if you change your mind.
